The Bustin' Loose BBQ team is comprised of husband and wife, Earl and    Barb from Etobicoke, Ontario as well as an ever-changing line-up of friends, family and acquaintances that join them on their various barbecue adventures. Those adventures include barbecue cookoffs, cooking classes, fundraisers, charitable events and a welcome invite to cook BBQ at the Rolling Stones Rocks Toronto Concert in July, 2002.

This Bustin' Loose website was designed with one purpose in mind: to share the passion, camaraderie, friendship and amazingly great food that is to be found in the BBQ community, locally and around the globe. On these pages you will find recipes, links to BBQ resources and forums, pages that show the equipment and awards of our Bustin' Loose team and also a current list of upcoming events for Bustin' Loose.

We love to talk BBQ and there are several contact links to be found throughout the site if you have any questions not answered on our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, or if you wish to ask a question yourself feel free!

Current Events
Wintertime is when we all take a deep breath and recover from the hectic pace of the BBQ summer season, so our current itinerary is a bit quiet, but more and more events and competitions will be added as the winter frost turns to spring thaw......

After all the smoke cleared, the charity casino fundraiser for Hill House Hospice, held at Shoeless Joe's on Highway 7 in Woodbridge, Ontario, was a great success. The event raised a net total of $12,154.67 after expenses such as black jack tables, tickets & other small items. On that Tuesday night we had a huge attendance with approximately 200 guests enjoying the evening & we followed up on the Thursday with a presentation by the Molson representative and the owner of Shoeless Joe’s. Thank you to everyone for the fantastic donations on the prize table & to everyone who participated in any way whatsoever.

June 10-11, 2005
The Canadian Pork BBQ Championships, Paris, Ontario. Held at the fairgrounds, 139 Silver Street, Paris, this event features teams from the region competing in categories of whole hog, pork ribs and chicken. The Historical Shows Association of Central Ontario does a great job combining the BBQ event with an antique steam engine/tractor pull at the grandstand. A fun and casual atmosphere makes this event a favourite for teams, visitors and spectators alike. The whole hog entries are carved by the teams and sandwiches are made from the meat and sold to raise funds for the continued success of the event. Come out and enjoy a fantastic competition in a comfortable rural setting!
